Visit of Professor Akhmadeeva L.R. to the Department of Neurology as part of the “Visiting Professor” program

In the period from January 27 to February 07, 2020, Professor of the Department of neurology, head of the center for neurology, rehabilitation medicine and botulinum therapy at the Clinic of the Bashkir state medical University Leila Akhmadeyeva worked at the Department of Neurology within the framework of the Visiting Professor program.

During the visit professor Akhmadeyeva L.R. was held lectures and practicals with the neurological residents devoted actual problems of modern clinical neurology such as “Pain problem”, “Rare forms of cerebral strokes”, “Neuromuscular disease”. During the practicals clinical analyzes were conducted, residents independently prepared presentations and reports, searched for information in modern databases in Russian and English. Discussion of the topics of practicals aroused the interest of students.

Professor also gave a master class on the topics: “Clinical methods for assessing post-stroke muscle spasticity and botulinum therapy” for neurologists and practitioners in Aktobe and Aktyubinsk region. It was devoted to the problems of early rehabilitation for spasticity in the arm in patients with stroke. She shared new literature data with colleagues and also gave materials and experiments from her practice.

Akhmadeyeva L.R. discussed the problems of development of plan and design of scientific research and publications with the teachers and PhD student of neurology department. Along with the visiting-professor associated with professor Dr. Andriana Surleva from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy (Bulgaria) to WKMOMU teachers, PhD students and masters conducted a master class on the topics: “Preparation of abstracts for international congresses and articles for publication in refereed journals”.

Participants were issued certifications.
