Dialogue of Indian and Kazakh cultures

On February 21, 2020, a specialist of the Department for youth Affairs, A.M. Naurzbayeva, organized a dialogue platform on the topic: “Dialogue of Indian and Kazakh cultures”.

The event was attended by students of the international medical faculty and students of the faculty of General medicine. 

The following topics were discussed: “Characteristic features of the mentality of Kazakhs and Indians”, “Presentation of national costumes of Kazakhs and Indians”, “Traditions and customs of choosing the bride and groom, holding weddings of Kazakhs and Indians”, “Traditions related to the birth of a child, naming of Kazakhs and Indians”. The dialogue platform was held in English.

The main goals of the event were: to unite Kazakh and foreign students, to support and develop the initiative of foreign students, to familiarize foreign students with the traditions and culture of the Kazakh people, and to familiarize Kazakh students with the Indian culture.

Students of the faculty of General medicine had the opportunity to practice their excellent knowledge of English. Foreign and Kazakh students actively showed themselves in the preparation of topics and jointly planned further cooperation.

At the end of the event, students received certificates for active participation. The event was attended by Deputy Dean Sundetov T.Zh, head of the Department of social psychological support Seytalieva A.Zh, sociologist Tsesko O.M.
