Primary care development is a priority
The III International Student Scientific and Practical Conference “The contribution of students to the development of primary health care and family medicine” was held at West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University.
The conference was attended by Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan L. Aktayeva, President of the Association of Family Doctors of Kazakhstan D. Nugmanova, Chairman of the Board-Rector of WKMU Marat Ospanov M. Teleuov, Chairman of the Student Movement of Young and Future Family Doctors WKMOMU, 4th year student Temirkhanov Aslan, a total of 450 people. 11 student scientific papers were heard. For lectures and master classes for students, speakers from countries near and far abroad (USA, England, Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan) were invited.
21 lectures and master classes on clinical issues of general practice, PHC problems and research methodology were conducted. Among them Nugmanova Damilya Sakenovna (Almaty, Kazakhstan) – COVID19 in PHC, Masahiro J. Morikawa (USA) – Residency training in family medicine in the US and Global primary care and family medicine, Brimkulov Nurlan Nurgazievich (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) – Family doctor tactics in the management of a patient with bronchial asthma at the PHC level, Khusainova Ilmira Ramazanovna (Almaty, Kazakhstan) – Actual issues of psychological support in the healthcare system, Ziganshina Liliya Evgenievna (Kazan, Russia) – Cochrane cooperation through the centuries: the integrity of research and publication practice, Tatyana Petrovna Ostretsova (Aktobe , Kazakhstan) – The principles of decision-making in palliative care, Nigmedzyanova Albina Zainutdinovna (Kazan, Russia) – Rational antimicrobial therapy: basic principles.
During the conference, an analysis of errors was carried out using real clinical cases as examples. On May 15, a round table was held with Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan family medicine teachers.
On May 15, the work of the conference ended by summing up the results of the student work competition in Kazakh, Russian languages and handing diplomas to the winners. A conference resolution was developed.
