Discussed the problems of allergology

The Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation “Current problems of allergology and immunology” was held in Aktobe.

The organizers of the conference were: NCJSC «West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University», Kazakhstan Association of Allergists and Clinical Immunologists, Health Administration of the Aktobe Region, SoPE with REM “Aktobe Medical Center”.

The conference was attended by 505 doctors, in cludingre searchers, practical health care specialists, teachers of medical universities from Kazakhstan, Russia, Poland, Ukraine, PhD students, Master’s Degree students and young scientists.

25 reports were presented at the conference: 13 reports – atthe plenary session and 12 reports – at the sections.

The purpose of the conference was to highlight the currentproblems of immunology and allergology, familiarize with thelatest results of fundamental and clinical research, discuss issuesrelated to the integration of modern advances in allergology andimmunology with the problems of practical health care and newdiagnosis’ approaches, prevention and treatment of allergicdiseases, including in the context of COVID-19 pandemic.

The conference presented the experience of differentcountries in the fight against coronavirus infection during a pandemic in the world and in Kazakhstan.

The conference participants noted the high scientific andpractical significance of the reports and messages presented atthe conference, which touched upon the most pressing andimportant issues of allergology and clinical Immunology, innovative approaches to differential diagnosis and therapeutictactics.

During the conference the following issues were highlighted: criteria for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of drugallergy; problems and ways to improve laboratory allergydiagnostics; treatment of patients with bronchial asthma in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic (taking into account the 2020 GINA recommendations); modern solutions to improve thecontrol of bronchial asthma, issues of allergic conditions inpediatrics.

The section summarized the experience of combatingcoronavirus during the pandemic in Kazakhstan and worldwide, the epidemiological significance of the SARS COV-2 virus, features of the course of the pandemic caused by the newcoronavirus COVID-19, clinical features of coronavirusinfection in childhood.

The achievements and problems of vaccine prevention, the needto popularize vaccination as an effective and safe method ofprotection against the causative agent of COVID-19 werewidely discussed.

The conference became a platform for the exchange ofexperience of leading scientists and specialists in the field ofallergology and immunology.
