Information for students of NJSC “West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University” on the format of training in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year

In order to ensure the quality of education, in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the University Board and the academic calendar, a decision was made on the format of training for students in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year according to the approved schedule:

Undergraduate:

1) from January 2021:

1 courses of all specialties undergraduate – blended learning format;

– graduation courses of all specialties – mixed training format: 4 courses of the specialty “Public Health”, “Nursing”, 5 course of the specialty “Pharmacy”.

2) from March 2021.:

– 2 – 5 courses in the specialties “General Medicine” and “Dentistry”, 2 – 4 courses in the specialty “Pharmacy”, 2 – 3 courses in the specialties “Public Health” and “Nursing” – a blended learning format;

– foreign students of 1 and 5 courses – a blended learning format from March 2021 (depending on the epidemiological situation in March 2021);

3) foreign students 2 – 4 courses – distance learning format.

Internship and residency:

for students of internship and residency – full-time training.

Master’s and doctoral studies:

for graduate and doctoral students – full-time training.

In connection with the restrictive measures related to preventing the spread of coronavirus infection, training will be held in shifts.

Full-time training will take place according to the approved schedule of training sessions in compliance with the sanitary and epidemiological regime. Practical skills training will be carried out in the Center for Practical Skills, in health care facilities – according to the approved schedule in compliance with the sanitary and epidemiological regime.

Professional practice will take place in healthcare organizations in accordance with the academic calendar and syllabus on professional practice.

Those in need of a hostel are provided with places upon application in accordance with the internal rules of the University.

All additional information on the format of training will be brought to the attention of the students by the deans of the relevant faculties.
