About the online cycle “Cardioncology”
In 2017, the Visiting – professors program was launched at the Marat Ospanov State Medical University. This program allows you to attract third-party specialists with significant scientific authority, establish partnerships with other medical universities, master advanced technologies and innovative methods.Within the framework of this program, the Department of Internal Diseases No. 2, headed by the head of Kurmanalina G. L., organized the cycle “Cardiooncology” in an online format. As a “Visiting – professors” were invited to doctor of medical science, Professor of the Department of hospital therapy №2 medical school of the Federal state Autonomous educational institution of higher education “Russian national research medical University N.And. Pirogov” of the Ministry of health of the Russian Federation Gendlin Gennady Efimovich.
A. E. Gendlin – laureate of the Government of the Russian Federation on science and technology, the author of the books “the Main directions in the treatment of chronic heart failure”, “Diseases of the heart valves”, “Echocardiography in the practice of the cardiologist.”, “Manual of cardiology”, “Heart failure: current issues in diagnosis, treatment and prevention from the standpoint of evidence-based medicine”. Gennady Yefimovich participated in the creation of the National Guidelines of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences for the Diagnosis and Treatment of CHF, the Russian recommendations “Hereditary Connective Tissue Disorders”, and the National Guidelines “Intensive Care”.The cycle was held from 10.05 to 14.05.2021 and, due to the current epidemiological situation, was held online. The students of the cycle were residents in the specialties “Cardiology, including children’s” and “Therapy”, students of the Department, Faculty of the University, as well as invited practicing cardiologists, internists and oncologists.
In accordance with the program of the cycle, students were presented with lectures and seminars on such topical issues of cardiology as infectious endocarditis, valvular heart disease, myocarditis and cardiomyopathy. Much attention was paid to the influence of chemotherapy and radiation therapy on the cardiovascular system, methods of diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cardiotoxic complications in cancer patients. In his presentations, Professor Gendlin G. E. used photo and video materials from his own observations. The lectures were held in an interactive format, the professor asked the audience questions during the lectures and seminars, to which he received adequate answers.
