Dear residents of the Aktobe city, teenagers and their parents! We invite you to take part in the study “The effect of vitamin D on the characteristics of neuroendocrine regulation of the menstrual cycle in adolescent girls with primary dysmenorrhea” (12-16 years old girls with painful menstruation). This study is a continuation of the scientific and technical project of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as part of the intra-university research work.

The child population is the demographic capital and resource of our republic, since the health of the younger generation depends on the health of the entire nation. Therefore, the reproductive health of adolescent girls should be given great attention. In connection with the conduct of such a large-scale and expensive study among adolescent girls in Aktobe region, we inform you that participation in the study will be completely free, which includes taking blood tests for vitamin D and cortisol in saliva before and after taking vitamin D. After taking the tests all girls will be prescribed vitamin D as a preventive measure for three months.

The number of girls participating in the study is limited. In the course of the project, each respondent will spend about 30,000 tenge for laboratory tests and the provision of vitamins.
