Our successes

Tashkent State Dental Institute and the Samarkand State Medical Institute together with the company for the production of dental materials MEGADENTA (Germany) held an international online competition for artistic restoration of teeth among students of 3-4 courses of dental faculties.

The competition was attended by students from Kazakhstan (West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov State MU, KazNMU (S.D. Asfendiyarov) , Semey State Medical University), Uzbekistan (TSSI, SSMU) and Russia (MGMSU named after A.I. Evdokimov, FGAOU VO KFU named after V.I. Vernadsky).

The competition consisted of 2 stages, at the 1st stage of which participants sent photos of completed restorations, 40 students out of 68 participants were admitted to the 2nd stage. West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov State MU was represented by 2 students of the Faculty of Dentistry: Yerzhan Kurbangaleev, a student of group 408 and Gauhar Shynbaeva, a student of group 404, whose scientific supervisors are teachers of the Department of Therapeutic and Orthopedic Dentistry.

Stage 2 was a review of clinical cases, solving situational problems and discussing the completed restoration. The jury of the international competition evaluated the theoretical knowledge of the participants, clinical thinking and practical skills.

As a result of the competition, the winners were announced, and we are pleased to announce that among them Yerzhan Kutbangaliyev took the prize and was awarded a diploma of the II degree, and Gauhar Shynbayeva became the winner in the nomination “Best Theoretical Knowledge” and was awarded a certificate. The work of the teaching staff of the Department of Therapeutic and Orthopedic Dentistry was highly appreciated by the jury members of the competition.
