“Multilingualism and multiculturalism”
Multilingualism and multiculturalism are progressive factors in the development of society and any multinational state. In Kazakhstan, people of different nationalities live in one big friendly family, get acquainted with the languages of representatives of other nationalities, learn their languages. According to the state project “Trinity of Languages”, it is necessary to develop three languages: Kazakh as the state language, russian as the language of interethnic communication and English as the language of successful integration into the global economy.
On November 22, 2022, within the framework of the tripartite roadmap “University student and college student”, a regional seminar was held at the Aktobe Higher Medical College named after Hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova on the topic ” The native language is for unity, other languages are for life.”
The senior lecturer of the Department of Chemical Disciplines Zh.B. Besimbayeva, 3rd year students of the “International Medical Faculty” and 2nd year students of the General Medicine Faculty of the West Kazakhstan Medical University named after Marat Ospanov were invited and attended this event.
The purpose of the seminar is to introduce to the study of the Kazakh language and culture on a free educational platform, to strengthen interethnic friendship, to strengthen vertical ties between the medical college and the medical university of our city. At the event, Indian students answered quiz questions in three languages, sang songs in Kazakh, and expressed their opinion about the language problem in Kazakhstan. At the end of the event, students visited the Museum of the Medical College, dedicated to the memory of the Hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova. The event was held at a high level, aroused keen interest of students of the medical college, who were glad to communicate with the students of the medical university. Active students were awarded a thanksgiving letter from the AHMC named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova.
