Master class went to Atyrau and Aktau

As part of the free provision of orphan drugs for children with SMA in the Republic of Kazakhstan, children with SMA in many regions receive the drug Nusinersen, which is injected into the body intrathecally (into the spinal cord).

For the first injection (it needs to be use 4 times in 2 months at the beginning, then 1 time every 4 months), our specialist Ayaganov Dinmukhamed Nurnyazovich, PhD, head of the Department of Neurology with a course of psychiatry and narcology, with a master class went to Atyrau and Aktau.

The first injectionwas conducted with the participation of the main freelance pediatric neurologists of the regions and with the participation of resuscitators and neurologists of the region. A master class was held with a lecture on the topic “Spinal muscular atrophy”.

Further injections will take place with the participation of freelance pediatric neurologists of the regions. We wish the children health, and success to the doctors.
