Visiting Professor

Since 2017, the Visiting – professors program has been operating in the NAO of the Marat Ospanov ZKMU, which allows attracting specialists in various fields of medicine with significant scientific authority to exchange experience and master advanced technologies and innovative techniques.

As part of this program, Professor of the Department of Internal Diseases No. 2 Zholdin B.K. invited the head of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases of the South Ural State Medical University, member of the Board of the Russian Cardiological Society, Honorary Cardiologist of Russia, Chief Arrhythmologist of the Ural Federal District, MD, Professor Shaposhnik Igor Iosifovich.

I.I. Shaposhnik was one of the first in Russia to apply the ECG method for the refined diagnosis of myocardial infarction, for the first time in the Southern Urals mastered and implemented the method of two-dimensional echocardiography, for the first time in Russia created and implemented elective courses in the educational process: “Introduction to clinical medicine”, “Introduction to the specialty”, “Practical issues of medical deontology”, author of more than 300 scientific papers, including monographs published at the federal level. At the Congress of the Russian Cardiological Society in 2018, he was named one of the best lecturers. In 2014, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, he was awarded the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree.

The meeting with the professor took place in an offline format in the conference hall of the MC ZKMU named after M. Ospanov from 24.04 to 28.04.2023. The listeners of the cycle of lectures on cardiology were residents in the specialties “Cardiology, including children’s” and “Therapy”, practitioners who passed the cycle of advanced training at the department, doctors of the cardiology department, the teaching staff of the department.

In accordance with the program of the cycle, the lectures covered such topical issues of cardiology as: dyslipidemia and modern approaches to their correction, cardiac arrhythmias, their complications, non-drug and drug therapy, features of the diagnosis and treatment of CVD in connective tissue dysplasia, various metabolic disorders (iron deficiency, hyperuricemia), diagnosis and management of patients with cardiomyopathy. Much attention was paid to the issues of differential diagnosis and modern approaches to the treatment of cardiovascular insufficiency.

During the lectures, Professor Shaposhnik I.I. gave examples from medical practice and his professional experience, used photo and video materials of his own observations. The lectures were held in an interactive format, the professor asked the audience questions during the lectures and received adequate answers, in turn, the listeners asked their questions and received detailed and detailed answers, supporting them with real examples from their practice.

On 27.04.2023, Professor Shaposhnik I.I. visited the LXII scientific conference “Science: Yesterday, today, tomorrow” dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the student scientific society of the M. Ospanov NAO ZKMU, got acquainted with the exhibition of student works. Igor Iosifovich met with the Rector of the University, Kaliev Asset Askerovich, during the meeting the rector told about the history of the University, expressed gratitude to the professor for participating in the Visiting – professors program, and expressed hope for further cooperation.
