Environment and health of the population of the Aktyubinsk region

At the Department of Hygienic Disciplines with Occupational Diseases, a meeting was held between the staff of the department, 3rd-4th year students of the Faculty of Public Health and 3rd-year students of the Faculty of Clinical Psychology of the K.Zhubanov ARU with the adviser to the head of the Department of Ecology of the Aktobe region Bekmukhambetov Zh.

Over the past 10 years, our department has been working in close cooperation with the Department of Ecology and Environment of the Aktobe region. With the support of the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Public Health, meetings of tudents and PPSs are held annually by employees of the department, 4th-year students of the Faculty of Public Health, visit large enterprises of our city (AZF, Kazchrom LLP, Akbulak JSC, Aktobe KOS, etc.).

During the meeting, the report “Environment and public health of the Aktobe region” was heard, at which the chief freelance ecologist of the Aktobe region Bekmukhambetov Zh. spoke in detail about the environmental situation in our region, about changes in the environment as a result of man-made impacts. During the presentation, the speaker noted the role of the main enterprises concentrated in our region, slides were shown on which the main sources of environmental pollution of our region were presented.

After the speech, the students were asked questions about the problems of interest, to which exhaustive answers were given.
