Gala evening in honor of the International Day of Students

On the eve of the International Students’ Day, a gala evening dedicated to the International Students’ Day was held in the Akkagaz Doszhanova Congress Hall. Fanfare sounded in the assembly hall, and the wonderful student folk dance ensemble “Jasmine” opened the festive event by performing a dance composition.

The Chairman of the Board-Rector of the “Marat Ospanov ZKMU” A.Kaliev addressed words of congratulations, who noted that the holiday was originally established in connection with the tragic events in memory of the Czech patriotic students. But for the current period, the International Students’ Day symbolizes the unification of the youth of all countries and educational institutions, all those who keep in their hearts a sense of belonging to the cheerful student fraternity. Student years are called the best time of life, they are always associated with youth, ambition, purposefulness, exceptional energy.

As A.Kaliev said in his greeting: “The student years at the medical university are not easy, but certainly the brightest and most intense period of life. After all, it is he who is one of the most important stages of life, the first serious step on the way to the profession: lectures and exams, sleepless nights, creative experiments and scientific discoveries that require a lot of effort, perseverance and patience, and the friendship acquired over the years of study remains for life. It is during the student years that the foundation of the upcoming professional achievements of future doctors is laid.

Students play a significant role in the life of our society. It is up to you, today’s students, to decide what the future medicine of Kazakhstan will be.”

He thanked for the active social position, stressed the importance of student youth participation in various youth and scientific associations, competitions. Next, the awarding ceremony was held by the Chairman of the Board-Rector of the University A.Kaliev participants of various competitions.

In the II Republican competition of public speaking in Almaty, the 3rd place was awarded to Nurmukhanov Bekzat; in the republican variety festival, in honor of the anniversary of the Dos-Mukasan ensemble – Abdurakhman Zhandos (2nd place); the regional festival “NEW WAVE -2023” Asylkhan Sabina (audience award), Amantai Almara (3rd place), Abdurakhman Zhandos (2nd place), Abdygalieva Ayagoz (1st place). Among the winners among the creative collectives is the dance ensemble “Jasmine” (1st place); 6 winners in the university competition “My profession is my conscious choice” were awarded diplomas. 20 students received well-deserved awards for their great contribution to the implementation of youth policy and active participation in various public events, including education and creativity.

The evening was accompanied by songs, dances, the celebration continued with a friendly game of the Cheerful Resourceful Club, in which 6 teams took part. The gala evening was interesting, fervent, fun.
