Practice, oriented training
Today the concept of “practice-oriented training” is being introduced all over the world and in our country. This concept implies the process of mastering an educational program, discipline or cycle with an emphasis on the formation of professional competencies. For medical education, practice-oriented education is of paramount importance due to the specifics of the work of future and present doctors. In the process of such training, students not only solve real problems, but also master exactly the knowledge, skills and competencies that they will need in their practical activities. Without practice, any educational program becomes uninteresting and ineffective.
At the Department of Internal Diseases №2, not only interns and residents are trained, but also teachers of the department regularly conduct professional development cycles for practitioners of various specialties, in which no less attention is paid to the practical part than to the theoretical one.
From 06.10 to 17.10.2023 years, the department held a cycle of advanced training for therapists, family doctors, cardiologists: «Selected questions of therapy». The cycle program included almost all sections of internal medicine: cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, hematology.
The theoretical part was conducted by the teachers of the department in an interactive format, touching on the most modern views on the diagnosis and treatment of the most common diseases in the practice of therapists, family doctors and cardiologists. No small importance was given to the practical part of the training, in which the cadets applied their knowledge in practice by solving real practical problems in a specific clinical situation, as well as conducted patient examinations and clinical reviews.
This approach to training aroused keen interest among the cadets, made it possible to comprehend the knowledge gained and form their professional competencies.
