Digital tools in educational process

On the 29th of November, at the department of languages a training master class “Digital tools and modern educational technologies as a resource for improving the quality of education” was held ​​by senior teachers Aldasheva G. and Abdirgazieva A. Teachers from West Kazakhstan Medical University, medical and humanitarian colleges, secondary schools of Aktobe took part in the master class.

 The participants of the master class got acquainted with the free online service LearningApps.org, created to support the educational process. This application provides the opportunity to use ready-made assignment templates, as well as to create your own interactive exercises based on them and place them in your own bank of educational materials, which is very convenient. You can use exercises at different stages and for different purposes: exercises to explain new material, for consolidation, training, control.

Among the advantages of the service, it is worth to note a simple and easy-to-use interface, the ability to work in it in one of 22 languages ​​(there is a Russian version of the site), access to ready-made resources for unregistered users, search for material by category (subject) and age level, support for some templates for working with pictures, sound and video, instant verification of the correctness of the task, the ability to publish created exercises on your websites (blogs), the opportunity to share a link to the task with students.

Another application, PollEverywhere.com. was presented at the master class. This is a tool for organizing surveys, voting and testing of students. Students can answer assignments from their laptops, tablets and phones. Moreover, the service can be used both independently on the website and as an application in PowerPoint, GoogleSlides and others.

The practice of using interactive resources in the educational process is a new opportunity to disclose the potential of participants in the educational process. The widespread use of various digital educational platforms certainly improves the quality of learning.
