In honor of the academician

The department of social and humanitarian disciplines held a student intellectual Olympiad «Human and Society», dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the famous scientist-teacher, Doctor of Philosophy, professor, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Taizhanov. Dean of the Faculty of General Medicine, candidate of medical sciences T.Abilov opened the event by expressing his opinion about the career path of Professor A.Taizhanov and wishing the students success.

25 students took part in the Olympiad. The intellectual competition consisted of 4 parts: in the 1st (first) stage, writing an essay on the topic “Kazakhstan, which I dream of”, in the second round famous graduates and scientists of the Marat OspanovWest Kazakhstan Medical University, analysis of the words of Abai’s edification, professor, assignments were also given based on the work of professor A.Taizhanov “Ethnocultural education and upbringing.” The students’ works were reviewed by teachers of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines B.Shamshi, M.Islamov, S.Kumyspayev and teacher of the Department of Languages L.Zhumabekova.

According to the results of the educational competition, 1st place was awarded to 1st year student of the Faculty of Pediatrics Amitov A., 2nd place was awarded to 1st year student of the 138th group of the Faculty of General Medicine Turdykozhaeva А, 3rd place was awarded to 1st year student of the 107th group of the Faculty of Pediatrics Aimurat B., and three students won in the “Best Player” nomination: M.Zhaksylykov, N.Alimzhan, Sh. Kurmanaeva. All winners were awarded “Thanksgiving letter” and financial support on behalf of the rector of the university.

Event organizer B.Moldin said that in April 2024, our educational institution will host the Republican Intellectual Olympiad.
