University graduates met with employers
In the Conference Hall named after A.Doszhanova held a meeting of future graduates of bachelor’s, internship, residency, master’s and doctoral studies 2024 with employers, representatives of practical health care in the West – Kazakhstan region. The meeting was organized by the Center for Professional Growth of NJCS “West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University” together with dean’s offices within the framework of activities on distribution and quality employment of graduates.
The meeting was opened by N.Musin, Member of the Board, Vice-rector for clinical work. The meeting was addressed by N.Valiulova, Deputy Head of the Department of the Committee of Labor and Social Protection on medical and social expertise and chief physicians of medical organizations of WKO. Graduates trained under the grant are distributed according to the applications received from employers of both public and private medical institutions.
In the current academic year, 860 graduates are completing their studies, including 489 under the state order. According to the Law on Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan №390 from March 30, 2012, the Order of the Ministry of Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan №403 from August 11, 2023 graduates of medical specialties, studying on the state grant, must work in medical organizations for at least 3 years.
At the beginning of the meeting the future graduates were familiarized with the rules of working time, exemption from working time, with the availability of vacancies in various specialties in the regions. During the meeting employers made introductory presentations on employment conditions in urban and rural medical organizations of WKR. After the presentations the meeting continued in a free format, each graduate had the opportunity to personally discuss with employers the conditions of future employment.
The first meeting of graduates with employers was held at a fairly high level, and the plan of the Center for Professional Growth is to organize meetings with other regions of the WKR.
