Congratulations of the rector of the University on the New Year

Dear colleagues, employees, veterans, students, residents, doctoral students!

New Year’s Eve is unique with hopes, summing up and planning future activities. According to the Strategic Plan of the University, certain goals have been achieved, tasks have been fulfilled, which contributes to the further dynamic development of the University.

Our joint work, focus on results, high level of teaching, scientific achievements, and the success of young people in all areas of student life help the university maintain its rightful place among the country’s higher medical educational institutions. The best proof of the improvement of the university’s image was the increase in the number of students to 7,200 this year.

Preserving carefully the history and traditions, we continue to improve and develop new directions: the introduction of state mandatory standards of education for non-profit educational institutions, expanded the export of educational programs in residency to 19, training of specialists for the pharmaceutical industry, the possibility of obtaining double-degree education, etc.

We are actively developing international cooperation in educational and scientific processes, practical healthcare. An important strategic step towards closer integration with the international medical community was the publication of the university’s first English-language journal «West Kazakhstan Medical Journal».

A number of measures have been taken to create comfortable and safe conditions for studying at the University, university and clinical bases, with equipment and furniture, the Testing Center has been completely modernized, a Coworking center for students and teachers has been opened, living conditions in student dormitories have been improved.

A number of new activities in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation have been introduced in university clinics. A significant amount of work has been done to prepare for the creation of a Center for Best Practices on the basis of KSM, together with experts at RNS.

We actively participate in citywide landscaping events, a significant contribution was the creation of a green oasis — the Alley of the university.

Of course, summing up the results of the outgoing year, these are far from all the achievements in our activities. We have many joint plans and tasks ahead of us.

I wish each of you to confidently go to new successes, achieve recognition in science, master knowledge perfectly, develop spiritually, physically and creatively! Health, peace, prosperity and good luck, happiness, festive mood to you and your loved ones!
