An outstanding figure in pediatrics

A significant event was held in the Akkagaz Doszhanova Conference Hall – the Republican scientific and Practical Conference “New aspects of modern Pediatrics and Neonatology”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the outstanding academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Balash Tusipkaliev.

During the event, Rector of the University Asset Kaliyev focused on the significant contribution of the great teacher to the ethical and professional spheres, emphasizing his influence on the training of future pediatricians, neonatologists and the formation of Kazakh medical terminology. The guests of the conference, who arrived from all regions of the Republic, were able to capture a video greeting from the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Azhar Giniyat, who expressed recognition to her dear teacher for his contribution to the development of the pediatric service of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In her speech, the Minister noted that the respected scientist, who cured many children and won the recognition of the people, made a significant contribution to the rapid development of medical science and the training of highly qualified personnel.

At the solemn event, Deputy akim of the region Galymzhan Eleuov expressed gratitude for the long-term work of the professor, presenting a letter of thanks on behalf of Akim of the region Askhat Shakharov, and awarding the medal “Obliska sinirgen enbegi ushin”. The head of the regional health department Rustem Isaev also expressed his sincere wishes, presenting the medal “Densaulyk aktau salasynyn kurmetti ardageri”.

Rector of the University Asset Kaliyev noted that the life path of an outstanding professor is an example for the younger generation and presented the badge of the university “Adal enbegi ushin”. On behalf of the head of the branch of the Social Health Insurance Fund, Karlygash Kurmangazina, Deputy Director of the branch, conveyed her congratulations. The head of the Department of Pediatric Diseases No. 1 with Neonatology, Professor Akmaral Zhumalina, presented a meaningful report on the biography of the academician. Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatric Surgery Zhenisbek Baubekov presented a report on the scientist’s work in Kazakh medical terminology. Alma Yelubayeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Radiology, made a report on the 30-year history of the first graduates of the professor who completed their studies in the Kazakh language.

On the stage, the hero of the day was congratulated and presented with gifts by veterans of healthcare, representatives of medical institutions of the city and the region, as well as the teaching staff of the university.

Following the results of the conference, the Department of Children’s Diseases No. 1 and its graduates from different years presented a video congratulating their teacher.

The plenary session continued with a section of scientific reports, where experts and young scientists shared their achievements and successes in research on the care of premature babies and current problems of early childhood.
