Opening of the oncorehabilitation department

A 20-bed oncorehabilitation department has been opened at the Medical Center of the Marat Ospanov West Kazakhstan Medical University. The opening was attended by Chairman of the Board-Rector of the Marat Ospanov ZKMU A.Kaliev, Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC N.Zhakupov, heads of medical organizations, healthcare structures, medical workers and veterans.

The audience is presented with a video review of the created department with a demonstration of the installed equipment. Rector of the University A.Kaliev in his greeting focused on the problem of malignant neoplasms, which are socially significant and are one of the main causes of mortality and morbidity in many countries of the world, including in our country. The established oncorehabilitation department is the only one in Kazakhstan that is part of the structure of the Oncology Center, located in a renovated room, with the installation of new beds, necessary furniture.

The main goal in oncorehabilitation is to improve the quality of life of the patient, which includes the physical, psychological, emotional state of the patient and the achievement of social and professional usefulness. A.Kaliev expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chairman of the Board of JSC “Samruk-Kazyna” N.Zhakupov for financial support in the purchase of modern equipment corresponding to the cycle of complex use during oncorehabilitation courses based on approved standards. Rehabilitation of cancer patients should begin before treatment, continue during treatment and accompany the patient for the rest of his life.
