«You’re an armistice, az-nauryz!»

A concert program dedicated to the celebration of the national holiday “Armysyn, Az-Nauryz!” was held at the Zhastar Arena sports complex.

The event was attended by teachers, veterans, staff and students of the university. Rector of the University Asset Kaliyev, chairman of the Kamkor trade union committee Kairat Sabyr, chairman of the regional medical social insurance fund Altai Urazbagambetov congratulated the audience on the great day of the Ulus, noting that this year Nauryz is celebrated in a new way.

The concert was opened with a medley of kuyev performed by the student folk instrumental orchestra “Serper”, the guests were also pleased with the performance of talented students: the trio “MedArt”, “Altyn”, the dance ensemble “Zhastar”, songwriters Gulzat Zhakenova, Arman Mugair, Fatima Akbayeva, Azamat Korganbai, Asem Musayeva and the stars of “MedStars”, who Kazakh songs were performed to the applause of the audience.

As part of the celebration, a quiz contest of questions and answers was also organized on the topic: “Do you know Kazakh customs and traditions?”, those who answered correctly were awarded prizes. Competitions in the Kazakh national games were organized in the foyer of the sports complex: togyzkumalak, kol kuresi and lifting weights.

After the festive concert, a dastarkhan was set in the courtyard of the sports complex in the yurt of the university, the audience tasted nauryz kozhe, bauyrsaks and other national dishes. At the table, representatives of the older generation expressed their warm wishes and uttered the words of farewell “bata-beru”.
