The availability of double-degree education is already a reality

Thanks to the mutually beneficial cooperation concluded with the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, based on the exchange of experience between teachers and scientists, the coordination of joint educational programs on the topic: “Public Health/Health”, for the first time in the 2023-2024 academic year, the University conducted a double-degree educational program (accelerated form).

The educational program “Public Health/health” enrolled graduates of the VET with previous education — laboratory diagnostics, medical and preventive medicine with a population of 10 people.

The disciplines of the foreign partner university have harmoniously entered into the content of related disciplines of the educational programs of our University, which will allow for 2 years to prepare students directly at our base and for 2 years to continue their studies at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences under the educational program “Public Health/Health”.

Our students take intensive English language courses, the teachers responsible for the educational program, together with foreign partners, analyze in detail the content of each discipline in a regular mode. Advantages of double-degree education: international learning experience; formation of learning competencies according to the most advanced educational programs; improvement of English language skills; study for 2 years in Kaunas, acquisition of life skills in another country, acquaintance with a new culture and educational process; enrichment of worldview; intensive language training; strengthening international relations; obtaining 2 diplomas – NAO “ZKMU named after Marat Ospanov” and the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, whose diploma is recognized in all EU countries; employment prospects after graduation.

Double-degree education contributes to improving the quality of educational services, the competitiveness of higher education institutions and trainees in the domestic and foreign markets, expanding opportunities for international partnership, and improving the rating.

Further joint cooperation with partner universities will continue in other areas.
