Meeting with pakistani investors

A meeting with representatives of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was held in the meeting room of the regional akimat, chaired by Deputy Akim of the region Yeleuov G.A..

The meeting was attended by employees of the regional akimat Karataev Zh.K., Musabekov M.S., head of the Department of Industrial and innovative development Abishev A.T., Chairman of the Board of JSC SEC Aktobe Taymbetov A.B., Chairman of the Board-Rector of NAO “ZKMU named after M.Ospanov” Kaliev A.A. From the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Rao Khalid Mahmud was present Honorary Consul General of Kazakhstan in Pakistan (Lahore), Zafar Bhatti, CEO of Green Earth Recycling.

The negotiations resulted in the signing of a Memorandum by the Rector of the University, A.Kaliev, with Pakistani investors on the construction of a student dormitory for foreign students.

991 foreign students from seven countries study at the NAO “West Kazakhstan Medical University named after M.Ospanov”, including 143 people from Pakistan. Since 2020, after the registration of the M.Ospanov ZKMU with the Board of Education of Pakistan, Pakistani students have been trained in the bachelor’s degree in general medicine.

The university creates the necessary conditions for the educational and socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students, active participation in the life of higher education institutions, organization of national holidays, familiarization with the culture, traditions and way of life of the population of Kazakhstan, maintaining contact with parents, consular and migration services, etc. The necessary conditions have been created for living in student dormitories with the installation of a wireless Internet network, WI-FI, reading rooms, dining room, household premises, video cameras have been installed for security.

Due to the insufficient number of places in the hostel, many students live in rental apartments, in agreement with their parents. The presence of foreign students in the NAO “ZKMU named after Marat Ospanov”, with an annual increase in the number of students, confirms the relevance and improvement of the rating of the higher educational institution.

The construction of a new student dormitory for international students will be a worthy contribution to further international cooperation in the educational process.
