The sustainable development goals

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are globally accepted goals aimed at eliminating poverty and destitution, combating inequality and injustice, as well as protecting the planet and ensuring peace and prosperity for the entire population. By 2030, 17 key areas have been selected, the implementation of which can potentially lead the country to the sustainable development of all major spheres of life and the solution of global problems affecting every person in this world.

Members of the student scientific circle “Epidemiologist” and volunteers of the “Youth Health Center” of the Department of Epidemiology, together with representatives of the Regional Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS, epidemiologist Turgynbaeva A.D., held an event for 1st year students of the K.Zhubanov ARU, according to the program of the implementation plan “Sustainable Development Goals”.

Event on the topic “HIV prevention/AIDS and the epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan”, was carried out within the framework of the implementation plan of the 3rd direction of the SDGs “Good health and well-being”. The teachers of the department and the epidemiologist made a presentation on the topic, the event was interesting, the students received answers to their questions.
