Seminar for medical professionals

In Almaty, on the basis of the city clinical polyclinic No. 5, a training seminar for medical and pharmaceutical workers on the basics of medical law was held, organized by the branch trade union of medical workers and related industries “QazMed”. T.Zhumagazin, Head of the Institute for the Study of Medical Law Problems at the University, was invited as a lecturer. The seminar was attended by managers, employees, lawyers, staff of personnel departments of medical organizations, professional organizers of the city of Almaty.

The 3-hour lesson was conducted using presentations, case studies, references to legislative acts, questions and answers, and consideration of problematic legal situations on the following topics. Ways and means of legal protection of medical and pharmaceutical workers, including protection from external attacks (beatings, insults, slander, conflict situations) and from the employer (non-statutory relations). Protection in cases of medical error. Protection of honor, dignity and business reputation.
