Modern teaching methods were discussed

MD Fazil Serdar Gurel, an employee of the Center for Medical Education at Bashkent University in Turkey, held a seminar at Astana Medical University on the topic “Teaching and assessment methods in integrated curricula”. The seminar was attended by the head of the AKD N.Alekenova and the chairman of the AK in the specialty medicine A.Ramankulova. Representatives of the Astana Medical University, teachers of the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.Asfendiyarov, Semey Medical University, Kokshetau University named after S.Asfendiyarov also took part in the above-mentioned seminar.Ualikhanov. The purpose of the seminar is to discuss modern teaching and assessment methods and their application in integrated medical education curricula.

The seminar consisted of theoretical and practical lessons. During the course, topics were covered on determining acceptable methods of integrated learning, developing integrated teaching methods in the cognitive, psychomotor, and communicative spheres, and evaluating the learning outcomes of students.

The knowledge gained during the seminar is applied to the improvement of the comprehensive program of continuous integrated medical education. Now our specialists who participated in the seminar plan to share their knowledge with university teachers.
