Resident obstetricians and gynecologists held an intellectual competition

“What? Where? When?” By the 10th anniversary of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1, residents of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd year held an intellectual competition. Following the results of the competition, prizes were awarded to the winners, and the competition ended with a concert program. Also, within the framework of the event, the staff of the department were awarded Letters of Thanks for their contribution to the training of high-quality specialists.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology was established in 1960 at the Aktobe State Medical Institute. The first head was Professor M.Bulina, who worked as a military surgeon in a hospital during the Great Patriotic War. Since 1983, Professor K.Kudaibergen, who headed the department, conducted scientific research on the problems of postpartum purulent septic diseases. Since 1995, the direction of the scientific work of the department under the guidance of Professor T.Ukibasova has been the study of the functions of the female body under environmental stress.

. In January 2014, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 was established by allocating the main department. The head of the department is Candidate of Medical Sciences, Professor Svetlana Shikanova.

The department has 2 professors, 1 associate professor, 10 assistants and 2 heads of the office. All employees have a high professional level. Everyone makes an invaluable contribution to the development of the maternal and child health service.
