Congress of cardiologists of Kazakhstan

The XVI Congress of Cardiologists of Kazakhstan was held in Almaty, dedicated to the 135th anniversary of S.Asfendiyarov. It was attended by a delegation of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 2 and doctors of the Cardiology department of the Medical Center of our University under the leadership of Associate Professor Gulnara Kurmanalina and Professor Bekbolat Zholdin.

The scientific program included 100 sessions, practical workshops and competitions for young scientists. More than 1,000 delegates attended the Congress. The congress was opened by prominent scientists, including Professor, President of the Association of Cardiologists of Kazakhstan Salim Berkinbayev. 

Professor B.Zholdin presented a report on the European Congress on Heart Failure. At the congress, the “Ak zhurek” award, presented on behalf of the leading cardiologists of Kazakhstan, was awarded to the head of the Cardiology Department of the G.Aryspaeva Medical Center. In the competition of young scientists, S.Kopzhanov, a resident cardiologist of the 2nd year of study, was awarded a diploma of the II degree.

The Congress was successful, the participants gained new knowledge and motivation. The participants wished everyone new meetings at the European Congress in Belgrade and the XVII Congress of Cardiologists of Kazakhstan in 2025.
