Explanatory work has been carried out

In pursuance of the action plan of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan to prepare the healthcare system for the introduction of the Institute of professional liability insurance for medical workers, large-scale information and explanatory work on the issues of professional liability insurance for medical workers has begun.

In this regard, on behalf of this Ministry, in order to inform about changes in the legislation of the healthcare system, the head of the Institute for the Study of Problems of Medical Law Talgat Zhumagazin conducted training on issues of insurance of professional liability of medical workers, the activities of an independent expert commission to establish the presence (absence) of the fact of harm to the life and health of patients as a result of medical activities.

It was attended by representatives of the regional health department, the department of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Control Committee, heads of medical organizations in the region, employees of the patient support service and internal audit, specialized specialists, independent experts, employees of legal and economic departments, representatives of specialized associations, trade unions, etc.
