Nuclear power plants in Kazakhstan: radiation safety and public health
A round table was held at the university with the participation of youth activists. The main purpose of the event is to discuss important issues raised in the traditional Message of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan, as well as to exchange views on the proposal to build a nuclear power plant in our country. The event was attended by students and leaders of youth organizations.
During the meeting, Vice-rector for Educational Work Nurgul Abenova, Head of the Department of Radiology, Candidate of Medical Sciences Yerbolat Iztileuov, Chairman of the “Alliance of Students of Kazakhstan” in Aktobe region Temirlan Aldazharov, 2nd year student of the Faculty of Medicine, member of the debate club “Zhalyn” Sultanbek Kabdimanap discussed new initiatives in the Presidential Address concerning socio-economic the development of the country, as well as reforms in the field of education and health care.
. In addition, the economic, environmental and social aspects of the construction of a nuclear power plant were considered, as well as the opinions of students were listened to.
The participants agreed that the success of the implementation of this document depends on the conscious and responsible approach of the student youth to the tasks and goals of the New Kazakhstan.
