World palliative and hospice care day
On October 12, World Palliative and Hospice Care Day is celebrated, the purpose of which is to raise awareness of the problems of palliative care and hospices and to understand the medical, social, practical and spiritual needs of people with incurable diseases and their family members; to develop a volunteer movement capable of supporting and developing the hospice and palliative care movement around the world.
Students of 521 ab, 522, 510 ab, 511 ab, 512 ab, interns of 705, 711, 718, 719 groups studying at the Department of Psychology in September- October 2024 showed empathy and provided support to the Department of palliative care of AOMPB. So, 5 anti-bedsore mattresses, diapers, hygiene products, a wheelchair toilet chair with sanitary equipment were transferred to the department.
Dina Tukesheva, head of the palliative care department, a neurologist of the highest category, acquainted students and interns with the work of the department, told them what the staff is doing to alleviate the suffering of patients and warmly thanked the students for their indifference and attention to the needs of palliative patients.
