Visit of the First Vice Minister of Health
First Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Timur Sultangaziev arrived in Aktobe on a working visit. The guest of honor first visited our university and met with the management of the educational institution and the teaching staff. The activities of the university were presented to the Vice Minister. Acting Rector Nadiyar Musin reported on the ongoing work in the educational process, clinical and scientific fields. The meeting also discussed the issues of training high-quality medical personnel and eliminating the shortage of specialists in the region.
During the visit, Timur Sultangaziev also visited the medical center and the department of oncological rehabilitation, getting acquainted with their work.

The student body consists of 7,760 people, including 939 international students. The educational process is carried out in three languages at four faculties. The University implements 79 educational programs: bachelor’s degree (17 programs), master’s degree (13 programs), doctoral studies (3 programs) and residency (46 programs). All Bachelor’s, Master’s and residency programs are accredited.
The teaching staff consists of 490 full-time teachers and 169 mentors from practical healthcare, including 33 professors, 20 doctors of sciences, 120 candidates of sciences and 28 PhD doctors. The University includes 47 departments.
The Umiti University program is also being implemented, which includes lifting payments and salary supplements, as well as stimulating young scientists through free English language courses and preparation for admission to the master’s degree program.
