Winners of the International Olympiad

The international student morphological Olympiad «Anatomy of Alemi — World of anatomy» was held, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Astana Medical University, organized by the Department of Human Anatomy named after A.Aubakirov. The purpose of the Olympiad is to demonstrate the knowledge of students in the field of anatomy at the international level, to improve their experience and knowledge. 12 teams from universities of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey took part in the Olympiad.

The Da Vinci Liberos team, formed from 2nd year students of the Faculties of Medicine and Pediatrics of our university, proved to be at a high level and took the honorable II place. The team consisted of Yasmina Serikkalieva, Yelzhan Mametanov, Tansholpan Murat, Aitalyn Alizhanova and Elnur Mametanov.

The Olympiad was held according to the following stages of the competition: «Testing of participants in the morphological section», «Find an organ (black box)», «Solving situational problems».

The scientific supervisor of our team is PhD, Associate professor of the Department of Normal and Topographic Anatomy and Operative Surgery Aigul Zhanabayeva.
