Open lesson for students of the 4th year of the specialty” Nursing “on the topic ” Disease management program”
On 29.11.21, the teacher of the Department of Public Health of the West Kazakhstan Medical University named after Marat Ospanov Kurganbekov M.B. held an open lesson for students of the specialty “Nursing” under the program “Disease Management”.
The purpose of the open lesson is to familiarize students with the work of the disease management program, to explain the goals and objectives. Topics on the implementation and organization of the program were touched upon.
During the lesson, students learned about the tasks of nurses in the field of preventive healthcare. The objective of the program is to improve the health of patients through evidence-based medicine recommendations, encouraging the population to receive preventive services such as screening, counseling and participation in a disease management program. Thanks to public health education, nurses can inspire the population to a healthy lifestyle and, ultimately, to a long quality life. He knew that the improvement of basic health indicators in chronic non-communicable diseases, the achievement of the target level by patients, the support of self-control of diseases largely depends on the participation of nurses.
The students asked topical questions about the program and the goals of the pilot projects. The open lesson was held in the traditional format. It was estimated that the participating teachers conducted classes corresponding to the level of the university.
In the future, open lessons on this topic will be held, as programs for improving the medical field are always updated.
