Implementation of the program visiting professor at the department of psychology
October 3-7, 2022 at the Department of Psychology of WKMU named after Marat Ospanov, the “visiting professor” program was implemented with Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Associate Professor Garber Alena Ilyinichnaya (Dr. Alena Garber), psychologist of the Rehabilitation Clinic “Reinhardshöhe”, Hesse, Germany (Psychologist Rehabilitation Clinic “Reinhardshöhe “, Hessen, Germany).
The professor read interesting and informative lectures online for students of 5-7 courses of the specialty “General Medicine” on the topics: “Stress management: strategies for short-term and long-term stress management”, “The role of empathy in interpersonal communication in medical practice”, “Violation, caused by stress; psychosomatic disorders. Definition and concepts, diagnostics, features of communication with patients with psychosomatic disorders”, “Disorders caused by stress; emotional burnout. Definition of the concept, diagnosis, therapy. Emotional burnout of a doctor. 4.10.2022 for everyone, an open lecture was read on the topic “Communicative model of interaction between medical personnel and patients on the example of the Schulz von Thun model”.
With the participation of Dr. Alena Garber held a training seminar (webinar) on the topic “Formation of social responsibility based on increasing the stress resistance and resilience of the personnel of educational and medical organizations” with international participation for all teachers, teachers and other workers in the medical and educational sphere. The event was held according to the calendar plan within the framework of the scientific project “Social responsibility of students in the conditions of professional training in universities of Western Kazakhstan” (IRN No. АР09058126), funded by a grant from the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Also Dr. Alena Garber organized a master class on the author’s stress management program “Manage stress with optimism!” for teaching staff and students, as a result of which all participants received both in-depth knowledge about the phenomenon of stress, emotional regulation, stress management resources, burnout syndrome, and valuable practical knowledge on instrumental stress management, cognitive stress management, symptomatic-regenerative stress- management, etc.
