“Plant a tree, give the planet life!”

On April 30, 2021, residents in the specialty “Cardiology, including children’s” and “Therapy”, together with the staff of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 2, held an event “Plant a tree – give the planet life!”.The purpose of the event is to improve the ecological situation of the city and equip new green areas.

This action is carried out by the staff of the department not for the first time. Earlier, on the territory of the clinic, the staff of the department, the head of which at that time was our teacher, doctor of medical sciences, professor Zhamankulov K.A., planted pines and poplars, which still grow and delight the eye with their beauty. After a long break, we decided to revive the greening campaign and make it traditional. The ideological inspirers and active implementers of this action were associate professors of the department Kushimova D.E. and Tlegenova Zh.Sh. Resident cardiologists and therapists trained at the department supported and took an active part in gardening. The action was also joined by employees of the pathological department of the MC WKMU, headed by the head of the department A.V. Zhumasheva.

The event was held on the territory of the Medical Center of West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University. The management of the university clinic supported the action and provided the necessary assistance. Rowan, birch, linden, ash, acacia and juniper: a total of 27 trees and 20 shrubs were planted on the hospital grounds.
We are confident that this action will continue to gain momentum – after all, the role of green spaces in our life can hardly be overestimated. They not only have an impact on human life, but also act as a guarantor of environmental safety.
