Important event in the framework of the SDGS

Within the framework of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals programme activities 4 «Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong leae numrning opportunities for all», and specifically point 4.4 «By 2030, significantly increase thber of young people and adults with in-demand skills, including vocational skills, for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship» at Marat Ospanov West Kazakhstan Medical University, at the end of May 2024, the 4th year students of the Faculty of Public Health with close cooperation and support of the Department of Ecology in Aktobe region visited JSC TNC Kazchrome Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant.

The purpose of the event: familiarisation of students with the structure and activity of the industrial enterprise and consolidation of theoretical knowledge on hygienic disciplines.

The excursion was conducted by A.A. Sotkarov, Chairman of the AZP trade union. The students were shown a video clip telling the history of AZP, the stages of development and activity of the enterprise, the main production shops. It was told in detail about the advantages of the company, social benefits and guarantees, support of young specialists, development and support of the youth, besides, AZP management pays special attention to safety and environmental protection.

During the tour the students asked questions that were of interest and were answered. At the end of the tour students and teachers expressed their gratitude for the organised event.
