OUR THANKFULNESS IS THE MEMORY OF A SCIENTIST, MENTOR AND UNFORGETTABLE PERSON
On November 19, 2021, a scientific and practical online conference with international participation “Demographic transition and issues of aging in biochemical and pathophysiological aspects” was held at the NJSC “West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University”. The conference was dedicated to the memory of the doctor of medical sciences, professor Kasenov Kozhantai Urazovich and the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. More than 20 medical universities and scientific organizations of Kazakhstan, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan took part in the international inter-department conference, organized by the Department of Pathological Physiology and the Department of Chemical Disciplines of the University.
The purpose of the conference is to strengthen interaction and mutual beneficial cooperation between scientists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, near and far abroad. The objectives of the conference were to discuss current directions in the modern research on aging in the light of the global trend of demographic transition and in the light of the implementation of the Rukhani Zhangyru Program and the spiritual modernization of Kazakhstani society.
The relevance of the topic of the conference was noted in the greetings by the head of the department of medical science and innovative technologies of the Department of Science and Human Resources of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ph.D. Aukenov N.Ye. and the acting Chairman of the Board – Rector, d.m.s of NJSC “West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University” Ismagulova E.K.
Colleagues and students of Professor K.U. Kassenov, who came from different parts of the country, emphasized his great contribution, not only to the scientific and educational, but also to the spiritual development of students and young teachers, told about his research and works in the history of Kazakhstan, Psychology, Parapsychology.
The participants of the conference discussed the most pressing issues of the pathogenesis of aging, its molecular and biochemical processes, a personalized approach to its active prevention.
At the plenary session, the head of the Department of Pathophysiology of Aging and Civilizational Diseases of Poznan University of Medical Sciences named after K. Marcinkowski professor, PhD Krzysztof Książek made a report . In total, 36 reports of scientists from different regions of Kazakhstan, near and far abroad were heard in three sections in on-line format.
Within the framework of the conference, “Virtual Exhibition” was presented at the scientific medical library of the university and master classes were held at the university, republican and international levels. More than 30 articles were collected and included in series № 3 «Medical Journal of West Kazakhstan».
In the final resolution, the conference participants unanimously came up with the initiative to hold this significant scientific event annually and to expand the geography of participants and scientific topics.
