The Department of Languages

Mustoyapova Altyngul Sarsenovna – candidate of pedagogical sciences, Associate Professor, head of the department of languages since September 2020. She is actively involved in the scientific work, has about 70 articles, 9 textbooks, (1 of them is recommended by the REMC of the MES RK), 1 scientific and publicistic collection. 15 articles of the Higher Attestation Commission, 3 articles in journals indexed in the database Scopus, Web of Science are published. Mustoyapova A.S. was awarded with the title of “Best teacher of the university” in 2009 for achievements in the field of professional training, she was noted with numerous letters of gratitude: “Kurmet gramotasy” of the MES RK, the national testing center, akim of the Aktobe region, the university.

The teaching staff of the department has a high level of philological and pedagogical education with developed professional skills in the use of innovative technologies and teaching methods in teaching language disciplines.

Zhurenkova. From 1958 to 1977, the department was headed by V.A. Pishchik, from 1978 to 1980 – I.K. Fedyaev, from 1980 to 2002 – S.B. Makhambetova,then the department was reorganized into the foreign languages course. Since May 1970, the Department of Latin and Russian Languages was organized, the first head of which until 1975 was candidate of philological sciences, Associate Professor N.G. Petrov, and since 1975 – E.N. Agapov. In 1989, two departments were created on its basis: the Department of Latin, headed by E.N. Agapov and the department of Russian language headed by senior teacher R.B. Shanova. Since 1987, the Kazakh language began to be taught at the Department of Latin and Russian Languages. Since 1989, an independent department of the Kazakh language was formed, headed by candidate of pedagogical sciences, Associate Professor N.B. Berikov. From 1997 to 2000 it was headed by senior teacher Yerbatyr B.U., then until 2007 – candidate of philological sciences Kondybai K.A. Since 2000 to 2017 the united department of languages was headed by candidate of philological sciences, Associate Professor, University Professor E.N. Agapov, then 2017-2020 – senior teacher, master of humanities Aldasheva G.B., since September 2020, head the department is Mustoyapova A.S.ObjectivesThe Department of Languages carries out educational activities in compulsory disciplines and elective disciplines “Kazakh language”, “Russian language”, “Foreign language” and “Latin language” in accordance with order No. 603 of October 31, 2018. “On approval of standard curricula for a cycle of general education subjects for organizations of higher and postgraduate education” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The aims and objectives of the Department of Languages are the formation of a social and humanitarian worldview among future specialists in the context of the national idea of spiritual modernization, which involves the development, on the basis of national consciousness and cultural code of the qualities of internationalism, a tolerant attitude towards world cultures and languages as translators of world-class knowledge, advanced modern technologies, the use and transfer of which can ensure the modernization of the country and the personal career growth of future specialists.

Activities

Teachers of the department introduced the formation of multilingual competence by conducting practical classes in three languages. Every academic year they conduct open classes and master classes using modern teaching technologies and share their experience at the city and university levels: master class “Use of electronic interactive exercises using the instrumental program “Hot-Potatoes” within part of the 60th anniversary of West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University teacher Abdirgaziyeva A.B. (2018), master class “Blended learning technology as an effective tool for speech development” – Abdirgaziyeva A.B. (2019); “Innovative methods in language education” – Aldasheva G.B. (2019); seminar “Application of TBL technology in Russian language classes” within the framework of the “Academic Mobility” program – Urinbaeva B.B. (2019); module for university teaching staff using the cascade method “Professional, leader and organizer” – Aldasheva G.B., Zhubanazarova K.A. Advanced training is the key to successful workMaster of Pedagogical Sciences Sydyk L.S. completed scientific internships in pedagogical diagnostics and education quality management at universities in the UK, Switzerland, Poland and Lithuania.The department employs scholarship holders of the Bolashak program who have completed internships at European universities: Master of Humanities Egizbayeva L.E. – in the UK (London, 07.07.14 – 07.11.14), Master of Pedagogical Sciences Urkunova A.S. in the Netherlands (Leiden, 01.10.13 – 25.12.13), Master of Humanities Science Sydyk L.S. in Switzerland (07/07/14 – 07/11/14).

 Master of Pedagogical Sciences Urkunova A. from October 1 to December 25, 2013 completed a scientific internship at ICLON-Leiden University DAAS (Dutch Academic Services) in the Netherlands, by specialty “Theory and Methods of Education and Upbringing.”

 Associate Professor Mustoyapova A.S. completed an internship at the Alchi Gasperi University of Euroregional Economics in Yuzefow (Poland) in 2017, at the Xinjiang University in Urumqi (PRC) in 2014, at the Orenburg State Pedagogical University in 2020.

Research workTeachers of the department conduct research work on the topic: “Methodological support for the process of developing multilingual competence of medical university students.” Articles by teachers of the department have been published in peer-reviewed journals Web of Science, Scopus, Springer, RISC.

Over the past 3 years, 17 copyright certificates for innovative developments have been received, there are acts of introducing the results of scientific work into the educational process: 2021. – 3, 2022 – 4, 2023 – 4.

Teachers of the department completed research work in 2019-2021years on the topic: “Drafting a phrasebook for foreign students in English, Kazakh and Russian languages” (state registration number No. 0119RKI0268 NTRC NC). The result of the research work was the release of the “Phrasebook in English, Kazakh and Russian languages” (authors: Aldasheva G. B., Sabitbekova M. M., Nurseitova B. O.), published by the editorial publishing center of the West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University.

Winners of the grant for internal university research work “Adaptation of foreign students and training of teaching staff of clinical disciplines in the language mentoring program in English” (2019-2021) Urkunova A. S. and Kupenova A. A. were approved as senior researchers within the framework of this project.

Teacher K.R. Zhilisbayeva carried out work within the framework of grant scientific projects of the ministry on the topic of COVID-19: “Scientific and technological support for the response system to the spread of new respiratory infections, including coronavirus infection” (2021-2023). K.R. Zhilisbaeva performed scientific work on an intra-university grant on the topic: “Perception of autoplasma caused by platelets for the prevention of urological disorders in kidney recipients” (2021-2023).

Achievements

For productive work in the field of education and healthcare and contribution to the development of the country, teachers of the department received badges from the ministries of the Republic of Kazakhstan, certificates of honor, letters of gratitude, awards at the regional, city and university levels.

Labor veterans Ermenova K.K., Mirmanova G.K., Abushakhmanova G.R., Abdullina L.N., Sabitbekova M.M., who have worked at the university for more than 34 years, are teachers who have earned the respect of the staff and the gratitude of the students.

On the eve of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Abdullina L.N. (2021) and teachers of the department Ermenova K.K., Mirmanova G.K., Abushakhmanova G.R., Kanlybayeva A.U., Abdirgazieva A.B., Sabitbekova M. M., Aldasheva G. B. (2022) were awarded the badge “For contribution to the development of the university.”

In 2019 senior teacher M.M. Sabitbekova was awarded “Certificate of Honor” of the Ministry of Health RK, in 2023 senior teacher A.U. Kanlybayeva was awarded “Certificate of Honor” of the Ministry of Health RK, in 2012 Abdullina was awarded the “Letter of Gratitude” from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, G. B. Aldasheva in 2014, in 2023 – Sabitbekova M. M., Utargalieva Sh. Sh., Moldasheva L. Zh., Kozhabekova Zh. K.

In 2023 Yegizbaeva L.E. was awarded “Letter of Gratitude” from the Akim of the region,

in 2019, Abdirgaziyeva A.B. was awarded “Certificate of Honor” from the Health Department of the Aktobe Region.

 Yermenova K.K. was awarded a “Diploma of Honor” from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2020, and Mustoapova A.S. in 2017.

Zhilisbaeva K.R. was the participant of a grant scientific project funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the intra-university project funded by the university (2021-2023).

Utargalieva Sh. Sh. took 1st place in the nomination “Best Article” in the republican competition “100 best articles by teachers of Kazakhstan: education, science, methodology”, organized by the information and analytical center “Rukhani Zhangyru”, “ULY DALA USTAZY” by the international scientific and pedagogical magazine.

At the republican competition “Memlekettik til – menin tilim”, organized by joint stock company of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Children’s Surgery”, in 2022, Utargaliyeva Sh. Sh. was awarded a diploma of the second degree and a badge in the nomination “Best Language Teacher”, Moldasheva L. Zh. was awarded a diploma “Til Zhanashyry” and a badge. In 2022, at the republican competition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of A. Baitursynov, L. Zh. Moldasheva took 2nd place in the “Best Journalistic Work” category and Zh. K. Kozhabekova took 2nd place in the “Best Poetic Work” category.

Master of Philological Sciences Kozhabekova Zh.K. awarded for achievements in the field of culture “For services to the region”, “Algys khat” by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.Tokayeva 2023, “Algys khat” of the Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament, E. Koshanov, and the badge “Madeniyet salasyn uzdigi”.
