Veklenko Galina Viktorovna – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases. 36 years of clinical experience, 33 years of teaching experience.

She graduated from clinical residency at the Scientific Center for Surgery named after. Bakulev, Moscow (1988)., defended her thesis on the topic “Temporary organization of external respiration function, hemodynamics and the possibility of its correction with traditional, nebulizer therapy and antioxidant protection in middle-aged and elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.” She has repeatedly improved her clinical qualifications in near and far abroad. Biyassilov Nurzhan Seilkhanovich – Associate Professor of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases. In 2000 he graduated from graduate school. In 2001, he defended his PhD thesis on the topic “Chronotherapy with capozide-50 in elderly patients with arterial hypertension” at the Russian State Medical University in Moscow. From 2001 to the present time he works at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases

Seitmaganbetova Nazgul Asylbekovna – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases. In 2007 she defended her PhD thesis on the topic: “Insulin resistance as a risk factor for the development of cardiovascular diseases.” Since 2008 he has been working at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases. He is engaged in medical, educational and scientific work. He is the scientific director of the SNO “Internist”. Every year, the results of scientific work are highlighted at various conferences and awarded with prizes and certificates.

Aliyev Ondasyn Minbayevich – assistant of the department of propaedeutics of internal diseases. He completed his master’s degree and defended his master’s thesis at the West Kazakhstan State Medical University named after Ospanova, specialty 6M110100 “Medicine”. Topic: “Effect of dysbiotic changes of colon microflora on the course of encephalopathy in liver cirrhosis”.

Zhaubatyrova Aigul Amangeldyevna – assistant at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases. In 2016, she completed a two-year master’s program with a Master of Medical Sciences degree. Kurmasheva Gulnara Serikovna, assistant at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases. Since 2012, she has been working at the Department of Propatdeutics of Internal Diseases, undergoing training at the WKMU «Training the teaching staff of clinical departments of universities in the cascade method of teaching in pedagogical competence». She is a trainer in the cascade method of teaching pedagogical competence. In November 2022, she was awarded a letter of gratitude from the Minister of Health A.Giniyat.

Bibigul Bibolatovna Tleumagambetova – assistant at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases. In 2017, she completed advanced training in the “Trainer – Communication Skills Expert” cycle at the Kazakh Medical University of Continuing Education. History of creation

The Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases was founded in 1959. The first head of the department (1959-1972) was Alexandra Vasilievna Myslyaeva, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor. Subsequently, the department was headed by: Zhamankulov Kdyrkozha Abdukarimovich, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member. Academy of Medical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1972-1991), Patrushev V.I., Kalimurzina B.S., Sarkulov S.I., Velikoivanenko A.P. In 1994-1998 – Professor Derbisalin Azhmadin Smagulovich, from 1998 to 2010 the department was headed by Professor Akhmetov K.Zh., from 2010 to 2017, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Smagulova Gaziza Azhmagievna, from 2017 to the present, the department is headed by M.D., Associate Professor Veklenko Galina Viktorovna.

Activities

The main discipline taught at the department is Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases (3rd year, General Medicine). In addition, the department trains 1st year students of General Medicine in the discipline Introduction to the Profession, as well as 1st-3rd year students of the DM faculty (DM in therapy, specialized nursing care). Classes at the department are conducted in Kazakh, Russian and English.

Employees of the department perform clinical work in various departments of the emergency hospital, being consultant therapists.

Achievements

The main direction of the department’s research activities is research in medical education: the department is currently working on creating an educational program “Fundamentals of Clinical Diagnostics” for English-speaking students at a medical school.
