Vacant position: Dean of the international medical faculty of NJSC “West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University”
Basic requirements for the participant of the competition:
higher medical education, a scientific degree / PhD degree, seniority in leadership positions or scientific and pedagogical experience of at least 3 years . Preferably proficiency in English at a level not lower than Intermediate.
Functional responsibilities:
Dean of the international medical faculty:
- Develops a strategy for the development of the international medical faculty, strengthens and develops external relations with employers, education and health authorities, the department for quality control and safety of goods and services, strategic partners. Plans, organizes and controls the implementation of the educational program.
- Carries out the leadership of the teaching staff involved in the implementation of the relevant EP, the team and students of the international medical faculty.
- Studies the market of educational services and the labor market in the areas of specialties of training students of the international medical faculty.
- Organizes and conducts career guidance work.
- Participates in the work of the selection committee to assess the level of training of applicants at the time of admission to the university.
- Provides information for recovery and transfer, expulsion of students, including for disciplinary sanctions.
- Carries out admission of students to examination sessions.
- Gives permission for early delivery and retaking of course exams.
- Prepares a presentation for the transfer of students from course to course.
- Prepares a submission for applicants for participation in the competition for transferring vacant state educational grants, rector’s scholarship, personal state and other scholarships.
- Organizes academic consulting and support for students through the appointment of advisers / mentors (curators) for the formation of IEP and EP competence.
- Forms study groups based on IEP and student contingent. Plans and organizes the final certification: presentation of the composition of the certification commission, the composition of examiners, the composition of the appeal commission.
- Analyzes the educational achievements of students and graduates (report): attendance and academic performance during the semester, the results of midterm and final certification, external assessment of educational achievements, appeals, the frequency of passing and failing in exams, reasons for expulsion.
- Organizes work on the distribution and employment of graduates.
- Coordinates the work of departments on the development of annual and long-term plans for the research work of students on the basis of priority areas in the field of scientific research, communication between scientific research and education.

- copy of the identification document;
- copies of diplomas of higher education, and (or) academic or scientific degree , a document on academic title and originals for verification;
- copies of certificates of retraining and advanced training (if any) and originals for verification;
- medical certificate on the state of health (medical professional advisory opinion) according to the form No. 075 / y, according to the forms of primary medical documentation of healthcare organizations, approved by order of the acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 23, 2010 No. 907, issued no more than six months before the date of submission of documents (or a notarized copy);
- certificate from neuropsychiatric organization in the form, in accordance with the standard of the state service “Issuance of a certificate from a neuropsychiatric organization” approved by order of the Minister of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 27, 2015 No. 272, issued no more than one year before the date of submission of documents (or a notarized copy);
- certificate from narcological organization in the form, in accordance with the standard of the state service “Issuance of a certificate from narcological organization”, approved by order of the Minister of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 27, 2015 No. 272, issued no more than one year before the date of submission of documents (or a notarized copy).
- certificate on presence or absence of information on the records issued by the Committee for Legal Statistics and Special Records of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the person committing a criminal offense.
- 8. participant of the competition has the right to provide additional information regarding his education, work experience, professional level, knowledge of languages (list of scientific publications, recommendations from the administration of the previous place of work, certificates, diplomas, etc.).
- Persons working at the university apply characteristics of the higher management.
