Relevance: In Kazakhstan, the subpopulation of those who are 60 years and older constitutes 11,1% of the entire population whereas, e.g., in Germany – 28.0% and in Japan – 33.4% . On the other hand, the birth rate in Kazakhstan reaches 2.6 children/female while in Taiwan or Portugal – only 1.2. Thus, in comparison with many other countries of the world, Kazakhstan’s inhabitants are still relatively young. However, the population of Kazakhstan will be ageing ; hence it is necessary to pose and get answers to questions about the care for older persons in advance.
Purpose of the project: The aim of the study was to characterise the needs of the older inhabitants of Kazakhstan to ultimately create an algorithm to satisfy them.
Expected and achieved results:
- A meta-analysis of the problem under study was carried out by the method of scientific search for foreign research materials in the Scopus, Google Scholar, PubMed information databases.
- A comparative analysis of data collected from 4 cities of Kazakhstan was carried out. This work began in May 2021 and according to the results of the survey in Aktobe – 200 people, in Kyzylorda – 200 people, in Shymkent – 400 people, in Uralsk – 200 people were surveyed, according to the questionnaire EASY Care Standard -2010. - Was carried out. During the research 4 articles were submitted (1 – to the journal of the Higher Attestation Commission, 2 – Scopus, 1 – Web of Science).

- “Medical and social efficiency of geriatric service in the Republic of Kazakhstan”;
