The result of the university rector’s cup tournament

It has become a good tradition of the university to hold an annual mini-football tournament for the Rector’s Cup. The next tournament for the University Rector’s Cup among student teams, interns, residents, and mini-football was held in the Zhastar Arena sports complex from April 19 to 30. 8 national teams and 2 teams from the international faculty took part in the tournament.

The teams are divided into two groups: A and B.

Chairman of the Board-Rector Asset Kaliev thanked the teams for their participation, noting that throughout all stages of the tournament, the participants bravely fought on the football field, representing their course, faculty, showing fortitude and the will to win.

As Rector Asset Kaliev noted: “Student time should be used as much as possible to promote health. Physical activity is one of the key aspects of a healthy lifestyle, significantly improving human health, quality and life expectancy. One of the most common and accessible sports is the game of football. Football is an excellent sport for developing communication skills, increasing stress resistance, strengthening muscles, physical data, and stimulating mental development.”

To award the winners, the university administration prepared Cups, cash prizes, and Certificates.

As a result, the winners of the Rector’s Cup tournament were: the national team of interns and residents (I place — 100 thousand tenge), the national team of the 4th year (II place – 75 thousand tenge), the national team of the 3rd year (III place — 50 thousand tenge). Asylkhan Usenov was recognized as the “Best goalkeeper”, and Nurtugan Abdirey was recognized as the “Best striker”.

In conclusion, Asset Askerovich called on young people to adhere to healthy lifestyle skills and physical activity.
