A foreign scientist gave lectures for future neurologists
In the period from April 24 to April 30, Rauan Kayyrzhanov, PhD, Associate Professor of the UCMA Department of Neurology, researcher at the Institute of Neurology at University College London, Great Britain, worked at the Department of Neurology as part of the Visiting professors program.
The purpose of R.Kayyrzhanov’s visit was to familiarize residents with new global trends in the diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, to familiarize them with the necessary tools and to strengthen the skills of university staff in applying for grant funding.
He conducted lectures and master classes for interns and resident neurologists on topical topics of modern clinical neurology: Parkinson’s disease, dystonia. Information on genetic studies for the diagnosis of diseases of the nervous system is of particular interest. During the visit, R.Kayyrzhanov held a master class for teachers and young scientists of our university on the topic: “I will send the writing of scientific grant applications.”
The importance of the professor’s visit lies in the exchange of experience and knowledge, the establishment of new international relations and the development of scientific and educational programs. The visit resulted in a positive impact on the educational process, scientific cooperation and professional development of members of the academic community.
