Kaldybaeva Aiman Turganbaevna

Head of the Department of Normal Physiology of the West Kazakhstan Medical University named after Marat Ospanov since 2010, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor. In 1985 she graduated from the pediatric faculty of the Alma-Ata State Medical Institute and an internship in pediatrics (1986).

Author of more than 100 scientific and methodological works, 2 monographs and 4 methodological recommendations, author and co-author of 24 textbooks.

Publications: 8 (Scopus), H-index 3; 3 (Web of Science), H-index 1.

Head of 2 student grant STPs (2012-2018); researcher at the target STP of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2015-2017), leading researcher at the grant STP of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2018-2020), head of the intra-university STP (2022-2024).

6 Masters of Medical Sciences graduated. Awards – certificates of honor from the rector of West Kazakhstan State Medical University (2012) named after Marat Ospanov, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2014) and the Badge “Densaulyk saktau isinin uzdigi” of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2017).

Goals:

Organization and conduct of educational, methodological and educational work in accordance with educational programs.

Training of scientific and pedagogical personnel within the framework of master’s and doctoral study programs, as well as improving their qualifications by conducting training seminars.

Preparation and conduct of research, as well as implementation of the results obtained in the main scientific areas of the department’s activities, both independently and within the framework of scientific projects.

Development and implementation of innovative technologies in the educational process, development of external relations with employers and educational and healthcare authorities.

Implementation of educational programs of State Compulsory Educational Standards of higher professional and postgraduate medical education.

Work to improve the educational process and accumulate new scientific knowledge.

History of creation:

The Department of Normal Physiology at the Aktobe State Medical Institute was organized in August 1958. The organizer and first head of the department was Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor E. G. Skipina. In the subsequent period, the employees of the department were Associate Professor Aleshin I. A., Associate Professor E. G. Urazaev, senior teachers I. N. Gubanov, R B. Chanysheva, G. A. Arystanova, P. Semenikin.

From the beginning of the 70s to 1997, the department was headed by Professor A.A. Utepbergenov. Alken Akhmetbekovich combined it from 1971 to 1986. with the position of vice-rector for educational and methodological work of the institute. From 1997 to 1999 The course was led by Associate Professor V.K. Kasymbekov. From 1983 to 1988, Vladimir Kasymbekovich served as deputy dean of the Faculty of Medicine. From 2000 to 2005 The department was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Nurgalieva R.E. She was the head of the Western Regional Physiological Society of the Republic and the organizer of the scientific school “Physiology of Adaptation”. From 2005 to 2010 The department was headed by candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Isaev Galymzhan Isaevich. G.I. Isaev organized classrooms on systems of human physiology, electric replicas. From 2010 to this day, the head of the department is candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Kaldybaeva Aiman Turganbaevna. Under her leadership, electrophysiological and educational laboratories were opened. The department occupies a leading position at the University.

Activity:

The activities of the Normal Physiology Department are focused on 3 main areas: educational, scientific and educational.

Classes at the department are conducted in the following specialties: medicine, military medicine. dentistry, pediatrics, nursing, pharmacy, public health.

The department also trains specialists in master’s and PhD doctoral educational programs. Over the years of the department’s existence, thousands of doctors around the world have been trained at the department and still remember their teachers with love and warmth. Many famous scientists took their first steps as scientists at the Normal Physiology Department.

Currently, the department has 1 Doctor of Science, 3 Candidates of Science, 1 PhD, 5 Masters of Medicine, and the percentage of degree is 67%. Every year, teaching staff undergo advanced training courses in their specialty, innovative teaching methods, and mastery of foreign languages.

Employees of the department actively participate in the life of the University, in all events related to the educational, scientific and educational process. Professors of the department are involved in participation in public organizations, working groups, Councils and Committees.

Achievements:

As part of the educational activities of the department, teachers constantly improve and update information and didactic materials for lectures and practical classes, and improve their professional level. Student-centered innovative technologies are actively used in the educational process: problem-based learning (PBL), team-based learning (TBL), research-based learning (RBL), binary lecture, etc. Lectures also use active teaching methods: business, role-playing games, lecture for two, lecture-debate. In recent years, the department has intensified work on academic mobility. Employees of the department, online and offline, conducted lectures and practical classes in physiology with students of the Bashkir State Medical University. Over the past years, students of NJSC “WKMU” have been given lectures remotely by invited foreign teachers: from Kaunas (Lithuania), Moscow (RF), Ufa (Bashkortostan), Orenburg (RF). The department actively cooperates in the educational process with medical universities in Kazakhstan.

The scientific activities of the department include conducting research, the main focus of which is: “Health and quality of life of students and adolescents”, “Reproductive health of teenage girls aged 13-15 years”, “Physiological condition of the musculoskeletal system”.

In 2021, the department organized and held an international conference on the topic: “Modern medicine: a new approach and current research” among medical educational institutions of Kazakhstan, near and far abroad, dedicated to World Osteoporosis Day. During the conference, master classes were held on the topics: “How to write an abstract for a dissertation”, “Electronic resources to help medical education and science”.

 

 

More than 150 scientific and methodological developments (monographs, methodological recommendations, manuals), articles and theses in collections and indexed journals have been published. The department has a student scientific club “Physiologist”. The number of students who are prize-winners of international Olympiads, winners of international conferences, competitions, and competitions is constantly increasing. The department staff, together with students, organize and conduct intellectual Olympiads in normal physiology. In 2021, the department held an international subject Olympiad in three languages. Particular attention is paid to the patriotic, spiritual and moral education of the younger generation.

In order to implement educational work, the department actively uses Instagram, YouTube channel, Facebook and the blog of the Department of Physiology on Instagram – @normfiz.zkmu, which highlights the activities of the department, as well as the achievements of employees.
