Department of “General Medical Practice №2”

Sartaeva Aigul Shynbergenovna — Head of the Department, Candidate of Medical Sciences. Since 2005, she has been working at the Ospanov State Medical University. In 2010, she successfully completed her postgraduate studies and defended her PhD thesis on the topic: “Experimental study of the antianemic properties of oil extracts from medicinal plants in iron deficiency anemia.” In 2013, she completed a scientific and practical internship at the Aju University, in South Korea, and at the Medical University named after Karol Marcinkowski in Poland , under the international Bolashak program. She has the highest category in the specialty “General medical practice”, and a certificate in the specialty “Adult Endocrinology”. She has been the chief endocrinologist of Aktobe since 2014. She was awarded by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the certificate of honor “Kurmet gramotasy” and the badge “Densaulyk saktau isinin uzdigi”.

The history of creation: The Department of General Medical Practice No2 was organized in 2008. The first head professor was MD Sakieva K.Zh; from 2013 to 2017, the department was headed by candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Zhakieva G.R. Following cadre working at the department for a long time: Baizharkinova A.B., Turebaev M.N., Altaeva A.M., Ekibaeva A. A. During the period of existence the department has trained undergraduates: Iskakova A.N., Tuleuova A.M., Akhmetzhanova M.B., Tlekenova D.D., Kazmukhambet A.U., Torebaeva D.O. In 2023, there was a merge with the Department of Family Medicine.

The purpose is internship and residency training of a specialist general practitioner in the primary health care system in the field of “General medical practice”, “Family medicine” and “Pulmonology” for independent clinical activities.

The activity of the Department of General Medical Practice No2 is a structural department of the Dean’s Office of Postgraduate Education, Department trains 436 interns – general practitioners of the 7th year in 2 disciplines “Algorithms for managing patients in GMP -1.2” in accordance with the State Standard for 2017-2019. The department provides training in the educational residency programs: “Pulmonology” and “Family Medicine”. Field internships of the 7th year interns are also carried out within the framework of disciplines in urban and rural polyclinics of Aktobe, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, Mangistau, Kyzylorda regions. As a graduate department, a department conducts ongoing training of interns and residents for the Final state certification in a full-time and distance format.

Achievements: The Department of GMP No2 has a high degree of competence – more than 80% of employees have academic degrees, which indicates that educational, scientific and clinical work are performed in full volume at the department. In 2021-2023, an intra-university scientific project “A personalized approach to diet therapy for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in PHC conditions” was carried out, during which articles were published in journals with a non-zero impact factor, CCSES, and 2 successfully protected master’s theses, 6 author’s certificates were obtained, a methodological recommendation “Estimation of diet for type 2 diabetes patients using “Nutrilogic” program ” was published. The staff of the department (Zhamalieva L.M., Dilmagambetova G.S., Sartaeva A.Sh., Zinalieva A.N.) actively participate in scientific projects of the Ministry of Education and Science, in 2023 Zhamalieva L.M., head the project of the Ministry of Education and Science “Capacity building of technologies of medical education and scientific research in family medicine” published 1 article in the rating journal (quartile Q1): “Educational

They actively participate in the work of the University Clinic of Family Medicine of WKMU as consultants in cardiology, allergology, adolescent gynecology, immunology, PHO, UPMP. Tulegenova L.M., Sartaeva A.S. are the main freelance specialists of Department of Health in Aktobe region. There is an active curatorial and

educational work of visiting local groups of interns, the department organized an annual visiting session at the end of each semester – also reception of intermediate certification at the location of interns is organized in 3 regions of the Western Kazakhstan and Kyzylorda region. The staff of the department (Tuleuova A.M., Dilmagambetova G.S.) maintain the Instagram page of the department of GMP No2 (@zkmu.kafedraovp2), which reflects the everyday life of the team and the trainees.
